Overview

The Advanced Engineering Centre provides great industry facilities.

This includes workshops, laboratories, computer-aided simulation rigs and testing/diagnostic equipment.

The centre offers engineering courses for young students and adults. We also support apprentices employed in and around Bristol.

You will also find a prayer room on site.

Facilities

Industry equipment

The centre provides students with the latest technology and uses the highest standard of the latest industry equipment, including:

  • A vehicle brake testing station
  • An on-site commercial jet aircraft
  • 3D printing
  • Advanced CAD modelling software
  • Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines

Aeronautical facilities

Includes light aircraft, computer-aided simulation rigs and a wind tunnel. There is also a large hangar for two aircraft, an avionics laboratory, electrical laboratory, technical library, an engine workshop and composite material workshop.

Includes a large engineering workshop, electronics equipment, a hydraulic laboratory and pneumatics test equipment, a CNC workshop and lathes. Other facilities include solid modelling equipment and computer-aided learning equipment.

The Advanced Engineering Centre building is situated approximately 300 yards from our Motor Vehicle Technology Centre at °µÍø¸£Àû.

By car

The Advanced Engineering Centre at °µÍø¸£Àû has free parking for visitors, students and staff, including disabled parking and designated car-share spaces.

By bike/scooter

Secure lockers and bicycle anchor points are available at the centre.

Please note that e-scooters are not permitted at any of our Centres. If you are travelling to College by e-scooter you must ensure that it is left in a designated area before you come on site.

By bus
